Meeting Tomorrow and NAMUN Update

Good evening...

I hope everyone had a refreshing break. We will be resuming our normal meetings tomorrow!

Two reminders:

1. PGHMUN secretariat applications are due by our meeting tomorrow! Here is the form: PGHMUN Application

2. The interest form for NAMUN (2/23-2/26) must be filled out by Tuesday night at 11:59 pm if you have interest in going. It is in Canada, so ensure that you will be able to have a passport before filling it out! Form: NAMUN Interest Form

Unfortunately, for reasons outside of our control, names of students attending NAMUN may need to be submitted by this Thursday. This would preclude the normal in-house that we would normally use to determine conference attendance. I may be granted an extension on this deadline but assume that for now the main determining factors are: club activity, past in-house performance, and seniority. Because NAMUN is an historically important conference to the club, and one of the more expensive conferences we attend, special preference will be given to seniors who will be leaving us at the end of the year. We will also be attending &MUN in April with a large delegation, so if you are not selected for NAMUN and did not attend UNCMUNC, look forward to that!

Tomorrow, in place of our normal in--houses, we'll be doing a semi-optional activity that will play into the selection for NAMUN as well. If you can't attend but are still interested in NAMUN, don't worry; we understand it's the first day of the semester! Hope to see you there!
