Hi,
The only idea is that your desktop client did not sync the changes with the server.
Or you had some connection problems from your Android device.

Subject: Maildroid IMAP not syncing

Hi all,

I've been accessing my email account in Maildroid using IMAP mode. It's generally working fine, except for one significant issue: when I delete emails on my desktop client, or move emails to another folder, these changes do not sync with Maildroid on my tablet - in Maildroid, the emails just remain in the inbox. I've waited several hours, and still no syncing has occurred. It's bizarre, since changes seem to sync the other way around (i.e. moving or deleting emails in Maildroid does translate to the changes occurring on my desktop client).

UPDATE: Okay, very strange. Just before submitting this post, I decided to check Maildroid one last time, and low and behold, the changes finally appeared in Maildroid. Anyone know what gives with this? It's almost as if all the changes for the whole day just synced all in one shot. It'll be too bad if I can't resolve this, since other than this, I love Maildroid.

Thanks!

Hi,
Probably your server does not support EWS (Exchange Web services). Ask your system administrator if that is the case.

I doubt there is any delay between Web client and imap. There should be another reason. You are probably right that it is in Maildroid itself.

Hi Андрей,

I know my desktop client is syncing for sure, since the changes sync with the web client for my email. I don't see how it can be a connection problem with my Android device, since everything else works fine.

The only thing I can think of (other than a Maildroid-specific problem) is that the IMAP feature of my email service is slow to sync.

BTW, when I try to set up my email via an Exchange account in Maildroid, I keep getting an error (which is why I'm using IMAP). Any ideas as to why that might be?

Thank you.

Josh
