Hi,
Here’s the reply of the creator of Maildroid:

App2SD technically can't be done for an email application.
Unfortunately, even though Google praised this idea, they failed to say to consumers that it can only be used in certain cases. I can set it up in 2 minutes, but then MailDroid won't work :) Technical limitation of App2SD. Take a look here:
http://developer.android.com/guide/appendix/install-location.html
and scroll down to application that should not install on external SD.
MailDroid needs to run as a service and also a few other things on the list. Note that this is also why Gmail and Facebook app is not installed on SD :)

It would be great if Maildroid could be installed on the SD card. Is this possible please.
Kind regards,

I admit I'm not a programmer or developer, but I've got friends who are, and I am usually capable of keeping my mouth shut and ears open, because learning stuff is cool.
Is there a reason why most of Maildroid and other mail/SMS/other services couldn't mostly live on the card, with files on the phone memory being placeholders and pointers to the card, where most of the app lived?
