Hi, --
What difference do you expect between subscribed folders and offline folders for Exchange?
Why don't you use "offline" setting?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. In fact you don't need to switch to Offline, just checking Is Subscribed in the folder options dialog will do it.

Hi,
Why don't you like having notifications and an offline copy of the folder as well?

Probably you confuse online and offline.
You say
D – Offline
This means you want to get all new emails downloaded and cached on your Android device. Nevertheless you say “I don't care to have mail pushed to these folders”.
Offline means you can access the folder while your device is offline.
Online means every time you access the folder, you go online to the server.
Set A and B to Offline, C and D to Online, and you’ll get the notifications as you want.
As far as I know, there is no way to set a folder to Offline, but switch off the notifications.

I would like to have the option to do this:
A - Online - Notification (inbox)
B - Online - Notification (subfolder I care about)
C - Online - No Notification (subfolder I check once and awhile would like to see if there is new mail while in the app)
D - Offline - No Notification (I don't care to have mail pushed to these folders)

I still do not understand you, sorry.
You want notifications for Inbox and some other folders. Let it be folders A, B, C.
Great. Mark these folders as offline. You’ll get your notifications.
You won’t get any notifications for other folders.
What’s the problem? J

Some folders I don't want notifications on. I get too many email about things I don't need to be notified about, having notifications on those folders would be an annoyance.
