Hi both my boyfriend and I are having the same problem. Emails are not
going out and the red email icon with exclamation mark is popping up
in the upper right hand corner. Then when emails do go out on his
phone they are not showing up in his outbox. Right now it shows that
the last email he sent out was on April 4th but that isn't true. HELP!
Thanks Cathy

Hi,

The Outbox contains the messages that are yet to be sent. As soon as a message is sent, it is moved to the "Sent from device" folder.

As for the red exclamation mark, I don't know how to diagnose such problems with a SMTP server. Maildroid does not have logs I don't know why. :(

You may be experiencing a problem I have discovered.

When I set up an account I set the outgoing mail server to one I use
for sending anywhere (it tolerates relay).

I set the outgoing settings without the SSL tick because this server
was set to not use SSL.

I could not send mail and the outgoing server registered a warning
that I had tried to send mail using SSL but it was not switched on.

Switching on SSL on my outgoing server solved the problem.

I have since done more tests and it seems that the SSL switch on
Maildroid is not working and defaults to on.

I have made the developer aware of this
