Is there a way of when saving attachments to choose where you want to save it to?  If not can this feature be added?

Hi,
There is a button Save as.

I click "save as" and Maildroid file manager open.  Under this file manager I do not see my ext SD card.  In order to get there I have to tap:
SD Card (which is internal storage)
Storage
extSdCard

I wish that in the Maildroid file manager it would show my extSdCard without all those steps.

I am using a GalaxyS4

When you choose SaveAs and then choose the MailDroid File Manager, the top line shows a path. You can click in that path and change where it's looking.

For example: my path begins with SDcard/root/storage/ and if I click on storage I can then see extSdCard as a folder. Clicking on that lets me access the external storage card and store the attachments there.

Yes, you can do all that.  I was wondering why when you choose save as and Maildroid File Manager comes up it doesn't show extSDcard as a choice like it does the internal.  Someone had said Google doesn't allow that?

My understanding is the Google has applied some highly draconian access restrictions to actual external SD cards. The rationale defies all logic - if you can take it out of the phone, why do you need to apply high security to it? If I had a device with such a card I'd probably be trying to get something changed, but as I don't I've not really got involved.

The fact is you're not going to be able to do much with your external card - well done Google!

Rick
