Slow API calls

Hi,

My client, has a Magento site using the MageMonkey extension. We are experiencing very slow subscribe and unsubscribe times. These can be as slow as 32 seconds. Oddly this doesn't appear to be as big a problem on my local copy of the site or the testing site on the same server as live. There, times are around 15 seconds for subscribing and 2 seconds for unsubscribing which is still quite slow. I have compared logs between local, live and testing and found no major differences. I have done a traceroute and ping from my local and live site and not found any issues there. This a signup form that is using an integration through the API. We are only experiencing the slow subscribes and unsubscribe from the domain www.[site].com. From our testing site on the same server it is much quicker ( testing.[site].com ). I have noticed that when I subscribe I get the subscription email but the page continue to load. After monitoring the logs I've noticed that after a long wait this is the next logged:

Please could you tell me if you have any form of throttling active for your API that is effecting calls from www.[site].com?

Nothing specific to any site beyond that, though. If you are hitting limits make sure you have a current version of the plugin, then work with the developers to determine where you're slow downs are coming from if they persist are are not obvious.
