Hello,

We are trying to set up Mailchimp with our database through API and I
have a few questions I can't manage to find answer (not in help nor
googler group).

I hope you'll be able to help me with that.

1)We'd like to have our customers managing their preferences only
on our platform: can we take the links at bottom of emails out (or
redirect them to our interface)?

2)In our customer platform, people are able to check or uncheck
"receive newsletter": how can we handle that with the "unsubscribed"
people? Once they are unsubscribed (they have unchecked on our
platform), is it possible to "pass" them again in the subscribe list
(they check again on our platform)?

Thank you very much for your help, it will be much appreciated.

For #1 - sure, you are more than welcome to remove the "update
profile" links from your campaigns. Do not try to remove the
unsubscribe links, though.

For #2 - more than likely you'll want to use the advanced list forms
since you can customize them however you'd like - http://eepurl.com/fSNa
.
You can force people back onto a list if they unsubscribe, but you'll
need to be careful with that and your campaign segments to make sure
people who unsub don't continue to get emails they don't want and thus
report you for abuse.

Hello Jesse,

Thanks for tips on tweaking forms but what we would like to do is
update list members' status (subscribed or unsubscribed) from our user
platform.

How to sync these user preferences updates (on our platform) to
mailchimp? Have a look at our sign up form http://www.novoseek.com/RegisterForm.action
There is no way to design this with mailchimp nor to add member to our
system, I guess.

Thanks for the help.
