Our site is currently tied in to our Chimp account via API, and
everything is working fine with the exception of the auto generated
double-opt in email send from Chimp. The problem is that when a new
user registers for an account on our website we handle the double opt-
in process ourselves (they must click the activation link sent via
Joomla in order to activate their account and login). The problem is
that Mailchimp is also automatically sending new users (sent via API)
a Please Confirm Subscription email. This is confusing our users who
are now getting about 4 emails all at once, looking like they are
asking the same thing. But if they don't click on the confirmation
link in our system sent email they can't access our site. So it is
causing a lot of confusion.

How can we deactivate the confirm subscription process on Mailchimp?
When our users are pushed into our Chimp account we do not want any
emails sent to them until we have system announcements to make, etc.

Use the double_optin parameter in listSubscribe():
