A simple question for you.

I would like to search my list using your API on various terms (mainly First Name or Last Name).

Is this possible?

Hey there Nic!

You most definitely can use the API to search within your lists. You'd want to use the /helper/search-members API call and specify your API key, your list id(if you'd like to search within just one list - otherwise leave blank), and the search query as the parameters.

Im not sure its working

I dont think you can search for fname:Nic for example - there is no field for it!

I tried searching my list manually from within the application, and I got this:

Sorry

Your search data is currently being processed and will take a few minutes to be available. In the meantime, you can still search by a subscriber's email.
Ex: "fre...@mailchimp.com"

Hey Nic! I'd like to have a closer look at your account if you don't mind. Can you email he...@mailchimp.com with your username and a link to this forum post? Also just put "Attn: Brian" in the subject line so I can grab it. :) Thanks!
