campaignContent() Question

Is there no API call that will act exactly how campaignContent() does
but return only content for an editable area?

For example, if I know a template has 3 editable areas, how do I
retrieve the existing content of those areas to allow a user to edit
them? I've tried loading the full content with campaignContent() and
then parsing the content that I'm interested in but its proving rather
difficult. This seems like a function that should already exist in
the API but I'm unable to figure it out.

If one doesn't exist, what is the preferred method of getting editable
content from an existing campaign? I am using PHP and the MCAPI class.

There sure isn't a method do that and no one has ever actually asked
for that, likely since our template support only recently became as
powerful as it is. This shouldn't be too difficult to add, so I'm
knocking around a couple ideas and will get back to the group on this.

Great thanks! To me, it would make sense to add them to the content
array the same way they are sent back to the server. So the content
array would return $content["html_content"], $content
["html_leftside"], etc, etc.

Any idea how long it might take to add this feature?

Hi,

I'm also interested in this feature.
It would be great to have a method that returns something like templateInfo()'s "source" field (with mc:edit tags) but
with the current campaign content, to allow for user editing.

Any news on this?

Thanks
