AutoChimp WP Plugin + Autoresponder

I've installed AutoChimp wordpress plugin and am able to automatically add new user account to my website to my mailing list in mail chimp. I have a paid account to allow me to use Autoresponders. What I can't figure out is how to get an Autoresponder to send a welcome email to the new emails that are added to my mailing list. The only source available in my Autoresponder is API Generic. Shouldn't I be able to create an Autoresponder based on the actions taken by the the AutoChimp plugin that is creating new subscribers. How do you recommend I auto send custom welcome emails to new accounts on my website?

Since this isn't specifically related to the API, I'd recommend reaching out to our support team.  They can gather some additional information from you and make some suggestions.  Based on what you've described here, you may want to look in to setting an Autoresponder to send within the hour based on subscription to the list.  More information is available here: http://kb.mailchimp.com/article/how-do-i-create-an-autoresponder/#trigger
