Mandrill Messages Search API - querying by metadata

I've set up my app to send custom metadata to Mandrill via their X-MC-Metadata SMTP header, e.g: "{ fooId: 12 }".

Is it possible to use Mandrill's Messages API (https://mandrillapp.com/api/docs/messages.html#method=search) to query by metadata, e.g. "find all messages whose fooId is 12?

I have nearly the exact same question.  How do we search by metadata?

Is that just not in the docs yet... or is it not yet possible?
