Is there a way to see the data sent to the API in the api-call log on mailchimp? I think such a feature would be immensely useful for debugging API calls.

We don't actually log the full payload passed back and forth with each call made, so that data's not even available to us on a standard basis.

I don't see that happening unless there are a flood of requests. If you really need to see that, I'd suggest either hacking your wrapper to dump that somewhere when it makes the call or setup something to sniff your own network traffic to capture that.
