Hard-bounced email not desuscribed.

Hello,

I noticed that an email that got a hard bounce, was not desuscribed from the list.

I know MailChimp implemented a new rule regarding Soft Bounces and cleaning but I'm not sure if it also works for hard bounces.

Is it true?

I'm talking about:
mbravo@[...].com.ve

Hello Jesse,

Did my last couple emails got lost... or you have not answered them yet... or your answer get lost?

Or should I assume that your answer about the issue on the UnOpened stats is also valid to the other emails?

You usually never answer with more than 24 hours of delay so I think I'm missing something,

I've seen them, but we've been busy and sorting through the data/code
to find one off errors takes a long. Generally though, yes I'd imagine
whatever answer I finally come up with is going to be similar to the
first one you asked about.

Our delivery guys told me the reason for this is that at the time we
saw the Hard Bounce we also saw that the address had had click/opens
activity. Apparently when that's the case and we see a hard bounce we
simply remove the activity scores we have and record the hard bounce,
but do not remove them from the list in anticipation that they
actually just have a crappy mail host. On the next send if they hard
bounce they are correctly removed.

Looking at that address, they've hard bounced 3 times in the past 6
months yet have not been removed which means it is a poorly performing
mail service since they are receiving and acting upon subsequent
campaigns.
