How much can mail chimp be integrated with magento

We are looking at integrating mail chimp with our magento shopping
cart.

Ive noticed there are some plug-in available to integrate both
systems, but i am wondering to what extent.

Would magento be able to feed back opens, clicks, etc back into mail
chimp if emails were sent out using magento's email sender?

The best thing to do is read the descriptions of any plugins you find
to see what they support.

No, or at least not unless you somehow replace that to send through
us.
