Hi All,

I'm in the process of migrating to MailArchiva and overloaded the receive and index queues.   The documentation on this topic is excellent and I was able to remedy the problem easily.

Two items are outstanding that I'm having trouble finding.   The first is sizing for archive threads and maximum queue size.   Does anyone here have experience with configuring these settings and how they relate to hardware specifications?   Second, if I re-import the same .eml files again, will mailarchiva deduplicate them?

Thanks for the help.

The size of the archive threads is set automatically. There is no need to change it. The maximum queue size is dependent on the size of the disk where the data location resides. The more disk space, the bigger the queue one can make. What you don't want is the contents of the queue overflowing the amount of disk space. We often create a separate partition for the queue data. You could do a rough calculation yourself. Say you had 50GB of space available on the queue partition, and assume that the message consumed 100kb, it means you could set a maximum queue size of around 500k messages.
