Bug in Winvn?

Hi,
I'm running Windows 98 and Winvn 0.99.9
I'm able to log in and view my newsgroup, but then after about 20 seconds,
I get an "NTTP has close connection" error and it says at the top of the
window "Winvn Function MRRRead com"
What can I do to alleviate this?

Not much. Your newsserver admin has set the server to a real short
timeout most likely because of the netscapes and M$ newsreaders that
open connections, and abandon them. I know that a few people have
requested a keepalive in WinVN but AFAIR since it's against the NNTP
protocol it wasn't done. You might try to get your admin to open up
the timeout.
