Weveral weeks ago I started having problems with WinVN. The problems
started with when I tried to search my newsgroup list using the F3 key it
would give me the message that "the program has committed a fatal error and
would be shut down. At that point there was nothing that I could do besides
Control/Alt/Del and restart the program.
At first I thought I could just re-install my 3year old copy of WinVN so
this is what I tried to do. After re-installing the program I didn't see
any improvement so I downloaded the latest version of your program WinVN
0.99.9 and installed that. Since that time the program doesn't seem to
remember that I've already read the newsgroups. Each time I start the
program now, it tells me the total number of articles in the group and tells
me that all of them are unread.
I've tried saving the newsrc manually and re-opening the program and
everything seems to be working correctly but if I wait until the next day to
re-open WinVN then I get the message that all the articles in the group have
been unseen. This means that I have to reload the complete list of articles
in the group even if I only want to see the latest unread articles.
Does this sound like a glitch in the program or a glitch in my computer.
Hope you can steer me in the right direction.
