can any one give a solid example for sending email using gmail?

Does it need rails? I am beginner on Ruby. I prefer to focus on Ruby
now instead of Ruby on Rails. But thanks any way!

Hi, Dennis!

Thanks a lot for your help! The example you gave me works very well. I
have one more question for you. Is it possible to let Gmail display an
arbitrary email address to recipients? For example, is it possible to
show email address "B" to people even if I used account with email
address "A"? I tried the ":from" filed. Though I can set it to any
email address I want, Gmail shows the real email address from which
the email was sent from.
