It was good to see all attendees took part & thanks for participating & sharing ideas & thanks to Shahbaz for hosting the 1st meeting.
My direct nominated rep in Karachi is Javed Safdar & Sohail Ansari in UK so please coordinate all matters with Javed in Karachi regarding domains etc & domain will be www.isurewantmyoldkarachiback.com as it does not matter how long or short it is as its our original id & as we are not trying to get a B2B website. If there is a technical hitch which I doubt we can shorten it to WWW.ISWMOKB.COM but dont think we need to do that. Sohail Ansari will coordinate matters regarding content etc

Also we will must have rotations for holding the meetings at all core member homes as it brings harmony & we get to know members better so next meeting will be at Maria's house as she has offered her host the next meeting on June 30th I believe correct me if I am wrong.
The domain will be registered in my name & Javed Safdar will pay the necessary funds for its registeration on my behalf .
Please lets get the minutes of the meeting as nothing received to date & await t he same asap thanks
I believe some members dont have gmail so they cant take part in gmail so lets just use normal emails till we can solve this problem.
Once again thanks for all your help & there will be additional core members such as Rumana Hussain etc who will also be attending the next meeting.
I also have not received brief Cvs on many members who participated & p[lease send me the same asap so we can understand who is right for which task.

The idea of a domain is an easy address. ‘I want my old Karachi back’ may sound very familiar to us who are on the FB page

I went on to the Net to search for two possible domain names, www.maikolachi.xxx and www.kurrachee.xxx. There is a Pakistani gentleman based out of Arlington, Taxes who owns www.mailkolachi.com, but the same name with extensions .net, .org, .com.pk, etc., are available for booking as of now. Also www.kurrachee.com along with all its variants is available. I am going to register the domains www.maikolachi.net, www.maikolachi.org, www.maikolachi.com.pk, www.maikolachi.pk and www.kurrachee.com in a bit. At some point we should also consider approaching Faisal Bhombal if he would be willing to transfer the ownership of the domain he has in his name. Apparently, he is not making any use of it since 2007 when it was first registered.

Sorry Danny! This epidemic (dubbed Mai Kolachi Pagalpund, English translation of which is My Karachi Mania) has already spread like a wildfire. As far as I am concerned Danny and I happen to be classmates at St. Patrick's College from 1969 to 1973 and have kept in touch since then on and off. After B.Com. I went into my family profession of law, however, had to wind up my Dad's old law office after his early death when I was too young and not qualified to continue his practice. Most of my legal work involved advising MNCs & leading local clients on Intellectual Property and other general legal matters, having also conducted IP & other cases in the courts at Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, etc. Being in the IP field I was also required to travel abroad almost every year for IP conferences.
Born in Karachi in 1953 I went to the BVS Parsi High School, St. Patrick's College, S.M. Law College and to the IBA & British Council for short courses in Management, Computer Concepts and Advanced English.
I was a prefect and hockey captain at school and selected in the cricket and hockey teams of St. Pat's & S.M. Law Colleges, I also contributed articles and poems during my school & college days for the respective annual magazines and was elected the Chief Class Rep at St. Pat's College.
At present I am an Advocate of the High Court and a Senior Vice Chairman of the Pakistan Intellectual Property Rights Association (PIPRA).
