Are you a fan of authors like Charles Stross and Peter Watts?
Are you familiar with games like "Cthulhutech" and "Eclipse Phase"?
Do you also play "Maid"?
Now that I've filtered out a good 90% of my hypothetical target
audience, allow me to present a little project provisionally
entitled... "Eclipse Maid".

Yes, what you're looking at is a work-in-progress version of a
transhuman/post-cyberpunk hack for "Maid". Yes, I probably could have
chosen an even *more* perplexingly specialised premise, but probably
not by much.
Basically, I'm looking for three things:
1. Comments and criticisms.
Want to inform me the entire notion is fundamentally ill-conceived?
Deride my poor grasp of the genre? Flame my spelling? Fire away -
every extra set of eyes helps.
In particular, I need a reality check on the Quality tables,
especially the Ego Qualities. I'm not 100% certain that every entry
has sufficient moé potential, and I'm totally open to suggestions
there.
2. Contributions.
As I've been working on this thing, I've found that filling out the
various tables has been a real struggle. The basic idea is to provide
alternative tables-o'-stuff that reflect a darkly humorous take on
Western post-cyberpunk and transhuman-themed literature rather than
Japanese cartoons - with maids, of course. If you're familiar with the
genre, and you have any suggestions for mansion features, Random
Events, or items, I'll gladly take 'em. Or heck, even additional
Morphs; that particular table is pretty much finished, but I can
always branch off a second one if I get enough ideas - I already have
half-a-dozen overflow entries.
(It's a non-commercial fan project, so unfortunately I can't offer
anything apart from being credited in the manner of your choosing.
Still, you'd get your name in print.)
3. Playtesting. I realise that "Maid" isn't big on game balance, but
ideally I'd like to include a replay or two in the finished product -
and none of the local groups I have contact with will go for it. If
anyone out there is willing to give this thing a spin and let me know
how it goes, I'd be very grateful.
How 'bout it, folks? Can you help a poor fanboy out?
