Hi Sirish,

The link that you sent gave a short short idea about How Swapnil Kamat, being he himself interested in personal development felt so boring and confused about how Training workshops on soft skills and cognitive skills are conducted by corporates.

He even add that this training rarely applies to work  lives. Then why is it so much that there is a huge  demand for training on soft skills to get employed apart from some other skills?

He also mention that there is a better way of  conducting such program.

How is his company " Work better- Training & Development" different from other  training programs of reputed organization?

Does he mean to say that the training methodologies are outdated and does not applies to today demands.

Then what about Infosys,TCS, HCl etc and Training organizations? I am sure these companies will have effective training programs than what Swapnil Kamat company training programs has.

cheers,
Gogou

In my opinion, the training programmes conducted by Infy, TCS et al are confined to their organization or based on their client/s requirements - but do not provide "holistic" development of an individual.. maybe that's why Swapnil finds them "boring". Besides all the training programmes are provided as part of their induction (including soft skills) but am not sure if these companies reinvest their efforts on an on-going basis.

Do some research (from his website)  http://www.swapnilkamat.com/how_we_work-training-program-india.php   and come out with our findings based on ur queiries You can reach out to Swapnil (swapnil@workbetterindia.com and ask his firms differentiating factor. Might be useful learning.

Hi gogou,
what swapnil is trying to tell here is,  500 CEO's claimed that 75% of successful long-term jobs depended on people skills, not technical ones.
this has been well known by the corporate giants.
SWAPNIL is not bored in training, he is looking at adding new courses and revamping their curriculum. Also on the cards are some interactive and story-based video training programmes.

the main topic is, he is about to train employees with story-based video training,
but friends, this story based video training will be effective?
share your views guys....
cheers/cyril
