Dear all,

Armando is providing the first dataset in HDF5-format, please check it
out.

For those having difficulties to read the raw data of Gerd's and
Laszlo's daphnia dataset I have converted them to the hybrid NeXus+
/data/data format.

http://ftp.esrf.fr/pub/scisoft/HDF5FILES/Daphnia_float32.h5
http://ftp.esrf.fr/pub/scisoft/HDF5FILES/Daphnia_float64.h5

That dataset is really beautiful :-)

See you,

Armando

I linked those files on the Datasets-page.

Thanks, Armando!

For fairness and for those of you curious about NeXus files, you can
take a look at the file:

http://ftp.esrf.fr/pub/scisoft/HDF5FILES/nexus_file.hdf

You will see that also has its strong points.

Gerd,

I have visited the web page containing the links to the datasets.

The nexus_file.hdf is not a Daphnia dataset. It is just an example of a
measurement stored in a NeXus file supplied by PSI.

The two Daphnia datasets are structured as NeXus files but containing
just an NXdata group.

I changed the page, maybe you want to add some more info?

Not really. I must say I did not expect that file would go into the list
of available datasets. It was more intended to provide an example about
how a NeXus file would look like to those interested on NeXus itself.
