Yes, but it's required approval of BOS and Academic council.

But as per new education policy 2020 M.Phil.

Degree closed down by UGC.

Dear Dr. Ghanshyam, 

Yes you are right in General subjects M. Phil. Degree will be phased out by UGC. 

However, Kindly note that M Phil. In Psychiatric Social Work and M Phil in Clinical Psychology continues as it is mandatory 

educational qualification as per the Mental Health Care Act 2017. hence, it is being continued at many institutions across India.
