Namo Buddhaya!
Binara Poya commemorates The Buddha's visit to heaven to preach to his mother and celestial multitude. Also the commencing of the Bhikkuni (nun's) order.
For this month of Binara, Mahamevnawa organises the above Dhamma programs(Sil/Youth/Kids) during this weekend, the 27th & 28th of August as below.
Seela is the most important step on this spiritual path. Observance of precepts serves as the preliminary groundwork for the cultivation of higher virtues or moral & mental development. Morality not only enhances people's ethical values and fulfil their noble status as human beings, but it is crucial to their efforts toward the highest religious goal of Nirvana.
Let's commit ourselves to practice of Dhamma during this weekend and observe eight precepts, making an effort to reach our goal, the ultimate bliss, Nirvana.
