May this email finds you in good health and joyful spirit. It is our
happiness to share with you the Dharma talk for tomorrow’s Day of
Mindfulness (March 06th, 2011) is going to be in English. Sister Dang
Nghiem, author of the book Healing, is giving the Dharma talk on the
“Discourse on Measuring and Reflecting.” This discourse was given by
the Venerable Mahamoggallana to the bhikkshus, fully ordained monks,
during the time of the Buddha. The venerable asked the bhikkshus the
following questions:
What are the qualities that make someone difficult to approach? And
What are the qualities that make someone easy to approach? Tomorrow,
Sister Dang Nghiem will share with us this deep teaching, help and
show us different ways on how we can apply it into our daily lives.
The schedule for the Day of Mindfulness is as follows:
5:30am- Sitting meditation & Chanting
7:00am- Breakfast
9:00am- Walking meditation
10:00am- Dharma talk
11:30am- Recitation of the Five Mindfulness Trainings in English
12:30pm- Formal lunch
Afternoon activity will be announced.
