 Shanann Magleby Singson, passed away Friday July 6, 2018.
Good news, she got to go out quickly, peacefully and painlessly.
It was way faster than I was prepared for and the pain hit hard yet the reality hasn't sunk in. 
She had been in relatively good health for 82 years old. 
Just less than a year ago she did have a heart exam, determined A-fib, and started on some medicine and all was good. 
Two weeks ago she was having shortness of breath so set up an appointment to see the Doctor - the test results were pending. 
Last Thursday her breathing and mobility were terrible so took her to the ER.
Found out she was bleeding internally and her blood count was critically low. They gave her 3 units of blood and on Saturday they sent her home with much more energy. However, they had to take her off the blood thinners because of the bleeding. 
Last week in the hospital, even though the internal bleeding had her down, she was completely coherent and she would say over and over that she didn't want to live this way and was ready to go. 
However, she improved nicely after the 3 units of blood and other IVs last week and by Tuesday she was regaining strength and feeling better than she had in weeks. 
Still, being off the blood thinners was a risk, but it was what the doctors had to do. Honestly, I didn't think she would have a stroke even though that is what the blood thinners were for. 
Then on Wednesday, she had the stroke. It was major and irreversible. She passed away on Friday. 
She wasn't herself and didn't want any more fuss, so she was ready and is good.
