Ephraim Magleby Marae in NZL

Hi All, 

I am currently in Australia for the next few months and would like to plan a trip to the north island of New Zealand. I would like to visit the Epraiama Marae in Pipiwai.

There is a sister in my ward from Pipiwai and she can arrange for someone let me in the marae and show me around. There is another sister in my ward here whose Moari grandmother went to stay with Ephraim Magleby's family in Monroe to help her get over asthma. I found that interesting.

I'll probably be on the north island 4-5 days and am considering renting a camper so I can travel around. I'm also fine with Air BNB. I was wondering if anyone has some recommendations for lodging, things to do, travel tips, etc.

Any info would be immensely helpful
