Maglebys,
Daril Magleby, chairman of the HO Magleby Memorial Foundation, is also chairing the next big family event – An HO Magleby Family Reunion on Monroe Mountain Friday August 6 – Sunday August 8, 2010. Hans Olsen Magleby and his children ran sheep on the mountain. They also developed a saw mill, dairy and cheese factory on their mountain land. A legacy from that time period survives today on topographical maps of Utah that identify such features as “Magleby Pass” and “Magleby Flat.” A number of cabins and campsites surrounding a 40 acre reservoir are owned by family members today. Monroe Mountain is part of the increasingly popular Paiute Trail system for 4 wheelers. Save the date. This family reunion in a spectacular 9,500 foot high alpine setting will be unforgettable.
