It seems like someone, at sometime, mentioned in the space that they had a book scanner laying around.

Was that person one of you people?

Perhaps it was me? I seem to recall having a discussion around wanting to learn the fine art of PDF-n-OCR so I can convert all the books that I "own" simply because a digital copy with text search is sooo much better for referencing, not to mention carrying digital copies around is much easier. Unfortunately I only have a single letter-sized page scanner and it would totally suck doing hundreds of double sides pages. That being said I don't have a book scanner just "laying around" as far as I know so that doesn't help you much.     Ring any bells?

Thanks, maybe that was what I was thinking about. I am 'on the same page' as far as wanting to convert some books over. Still, I swear that I met someone that had one that was working that was built off of google's model. Oh well. It's not one of the things that I am dying to make but one could be really useful at the space.

We could, for example, do some interesting things with textbooks.
