Opportunity for Members - Have That Public Event/Workshop You've Always Wanted to Host Funded by MAGLab

Hello all,

A few months ago, we've received an exceedingly generous donation from MAG Material Handling Corporation that heavily expands what MAGLab is capable of.

The terms of usage for this donation is such that the money is used to benefit the public and the local community beyond just MAGLab and its immediate members.

Likewise, this donation should not be thought of as an asset to support MAGLab during financial instability.

This is an opportunity that will allow us to increase the frequency and scope of our community outreach.

This lets us host Make&Take workshops to a wide public audience where people get to build something cool and take home what they've made, without it being a financial burden any of our members.

If you an idea for a workshop or event that you've always wanted to host, then please let us know what you want to do and we'll see what we can do to help you make it happen.

There's been a lot of requests for doing welding machining and resin casting classes.  I'd be happy to get together a more formal version of these so others can carry on the classes without reliance on my presence.  my schedule will be pretty packed up to the end of april, but i'll start working on class stuff in the margins and shoot for scheduling some time afterwards.
