Montana Geospatial Information Advisory Council to Meet
We invite you to attend the Montana Geospatial Information Advisory Council (MGIAC) will meet on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. over Zoom.
The agenda and meeting materials will be posted no less than one week prior to the meeting on January 22nd, 2026.

The Montana Geospatial Information Advisory Council was established by statute through the Montana Geospatial Information Act with the purpose of advising the state library on geospatial information systems, geographic information and geospatial technologies; prioritization of geospatial information development priorities, reviewing the geospatial information plan, provide recommendations for a geospatial information granting process; promote coordination of programs, policies, technologies and resources; advocate for development of consistent polices, standards and guidelines for geographic information systems, geospatial information, and geospatial technologies.. Members of the Council represent state agencies, county or municipal governments, federal government, private business, tribal government interests, Montana university system, Montana association of GIS Professionals, and Montana association of registered land surveyors.
The Montana Geospatial Information Advisory Council makes reasonable accommodation for any known disability that may interfere with a person’s ability to participate in the meeting.
