8/29 Summer Meeting Outline

Remember that the meeting is TONIGHT AT 8-9PM ON TINYCHAT!! I will post the URL when time comes, so please take a look at the outline and gather ideas so that the meeting can run much more quickly and efficiently.

11.08.29 Summer Committee Meeting

I. Attendence and quick ice breaker (summarize your summer in one word)

II. DJ EZ Scratch (Should we use him? Even though he might cost more than the other DJs?)

III. Fortune Tellers (One fortune teller or two? I'm offering the same price for each person and requiring them to be in costume with different kinds of tarot readings)

IV. Photography (Freelance or UCSD Photo Club?)

V. Layout : Please take a look at the layout I drew up and sent to the manager of the Hornblower. There has been some changes and I'll go further into detail during the meeting, but basically: DJ and coat check are on the lower level and casino tables, photography, karaoke, fortune tellers, and raffle are on the entry deck)

VI. Casino Tables (should we have  more? So far I have six poker tables for $875 (the same number of poker tables as last year for an additional $50 off. The manager was also wondering whether we'd like to substitute the two poker tables with 2 blackjack tables. Does anyone prefer one kind of table over another?)

VII. Posters/Website/Promo Package: (I expect to send out all of these materials by this friday night! So have your constructive comments ready about the posters/flyers)

VIII. Display Case: I reserved two different display cases for two weeks. We'll have a ten minute brainstorm about display cases and decorations.

IX. Favors: (Should we have these? I think it fits the theme for Halloween if we gave out candy or halloween themed goodies?)

X. Enlist Help: (I need volunteers to house potential guests from other schools as well as gracious drivers who are willing to make trips to and from the dock the day-of)
