Magic Maps 2.2 is available

Hi everyone,

I'm writing to let you know about Magic Maps 2.2 in the App Store today. It features:

* Four new map projections: Equal Earth, Equidistant Cylindrical, Gall Stereographic, and Plate Carée ("unprojected")

* Improved compatibility with Macs that have a discrete GPU (iMac, iMac Pro, MacBook Pro)

If you had trouble seeing image layers before - for example, in the Physical World template - this update should address that.

The new projections all take advantage of Magic Maps 2's new GPU projection engine, for a smooth map navigation experience. I'm especially excited about the new Equal Earth projection, which is an attractive whole-earth, equal-area projection invented just a couple of years ago. Equal Earth is an excellent alternative to the Winkel Tripel projection.

The Magic Maps 2.2 update is free for all Magic Maps 2 customers, including potential customers still under their 1 year Free Trial - just click the "Updates" tab in the Mac App Store.
