Can this software map oceans?

Hi,

I am an oceanographer and I would like to know whether Magic Maps can be used to plot variables over the ocean, say temperature or nutrient concentrations. Does it only work for land-based coordinates?

Hi,

It works for any coordinates, but the coordinates need to be contained within polygons. So you would need a Shapefile dividing the ocean into a grid.
