How do I change files extensions? e.g., .MTS to .MP4

You can add the formatter filter, select apply target as file extension and input "MTS" in format string.

I have a long list of files like this with .mts extension that I want to change to .mp4 extension.
20160528221757.mts
20160528221757_1.mts

It is not at all clear how to simply do that. Dropping string items like this <file-name><file-extension> into the formatter window do not do it. There is an "apply to" column in the filter window but I cannot see where to change that. The help file Formatting Parameters Guide says nothing about this.

You can select a filter in the apply list (top-right) and then select "filter options" to see the "apply to" option.
