Different Admin in multiwebsite, multistore configuration

Does anyone know if this has been implemented in magento 1.4, whereby
you can assign different admins for different websites

If you mean having admin A only access admin X store section and admin
B only access admin Y store section the only version that has this
ability out of the box is Magento Enterprise Edition.

However, there is an extension by AITOC that allows separation via
permissions.
