want to implement a simple zipcode filter

Hi all,

I am working on a site that will offer installation in major
metropolitan areas in Texas like Dallas, Houston, Austin..and
surrounding counties.

Just wanted to implement a zipcode filter on a page where a customer
can input their zipcode and it will tell them if installation is
available for them or not. I looked into it online and I don't really
understand mySQL or anything, was hoping something simpler is
available. Thanks is advance!!

I have kept shop open for all, but restricted it at order level by putting filter on where we deliver.

other way you can do is get ip ranges of where you want to show your shop and ban others.

Thanks for getting back. The first option is what I need. How did you
implement that filter at the ordering level? Is there an option
available? Can I put it on a custom made page? Thanks

hi,

i have modified and added zip code filter in shipping method. if zip code is present in delivery area i show the shipping method and price and if not i show message "Sorry we dont ship in your area"

for that you need to write isallowedZip same as isallowedcountry.
