Godzilla is the most known Titan out of all, and one of the most powerful creatures on Earth. He spends most of his time in his underwater cave, that has entrance to The Underground world - home of all known Earth Titans. Despite being an aquatic creature, Godzilla is surprisingly fast on land, able to run or even jump. This Titan, unlike his father, Dagon, seems to be friendly towards humans, although he may be very aggressive towards hostile creatures like Jinshin-Mushi. Being last member of his species, Godzilla became not only new king of monsters, but also humanity's savior and guardian of Earth.
In Episode 1, Godzilla has light gray skin with a white underbelly, and its body structure more resemble that of Zilla's. This is given to the impression that Godzilla can actually run very fast. He has a big, elongated head with a row of small spikes on top of it. Godzilla has small ears and yellow eyes with red pupils. He has gills on the sides of his neck. His arms are long and thin, with his hands having 4 digits. Godzilla's legs resemble those of theropod dinosaur. He has 3 rows of sharp purple dorsal plates and spikes near the end of his tail.
For Episode 2 and after, Godzilla had gotten a heavy redesign from Episode 1. His head is now smaller and more square-shaped, with larger nostrils and rather dragon-like ears. His lower jaw has small spikes and more pronounced chin. Godzilla is now much more muscular in build, with shorter arms and longer tail. His neck now has small spiky dewlap. Godzilla's dorsal plates are thicker, with middle row being visible from a side view.
Just like Dagon, Godzilla maintains the balance in nature, locating and fighting off any potential threats to the global ecosystem. However, unlike his father, he would avoid getting in unnecessary conflicts. Godzilla doesn't attack first unless being provoked, and would even spare his enemy if it's possible, although he would make an exception and attack or even kill those who need to be controlled. Species like MUTOs must not overpopulate to not disrupt natural balance, and Godzilla would keep their numbers in check. Godzilla wouldn't hesitate with creatures whose mere existence is a threat to the planet and its ecosystem, and would find and deal with them as soon as it's possible.
Godzilla is said to be born in the 1970s and spends time mostly in his underground cave, which leads into the Underground world, where all the Titans are said to exist. After his father, Dagon, died, he took over the role as King of the Monsters, maintaining balance to the planetary ecosystem. Godzilla is the sixth and youngest planetary Alpha, and a fourth member of his species to rule Earth. He is also the first King to view some of his subjects as friends, regardless fo their initial status.
Godzilla was seen attacking Shizouka after the humans have made contact with the Xiliens where he was seen destroying the city. The EDF launched planes and cannons to fire him with cadmium missiles, but to avail. They tried to shoot down Godzilla with Masers, with the bigger Maser Cannon managing to cut Godzilla's skin, and with their shield, could not be damaged badly by Godzilla's atomic breath. Suddenly, Godzilla let out an Electromagnetic Pulse which disabled the Maser Cannon's shields and masers. The planes had the same issue, with their weapons and shields out of commission as well. Godzilla shot a plane out of the sky and torn the larger Maser Cannon with his hands. Suddenly, another Titan entered the city.
Anguirus confronted Godzilla and after a stand-off, he blew Anguirus off-guard with his atomic breath. Anguirus, realizing something was wrong, fought Godzilla head on. With support from the EDF, Anguirus was able to wear down Godzilla well. However, he couldn't take him out, and after a wrong move, Godzilla managed to bite his neck and make him bleed.
A UFO (the one that contacted the EDF) appeared above the city and interrupted the fight. It supposedly scared away Godzilla with a ray. The Xiliens then told the humans that Monster Zero will emerge and destroy the world, and Godzilla becoming aggressive is the first sign of his awakening.
Two scientists, Tom and Polly, have "telepathically" arrived at Infant Island, at which the Shobijin said that the Godzilla that attacked the city was not actually Godzilla; it was an impostor. The real Godzilla was trapped inside the UFO for 2 weeks. To make things better for the humans, there was no radiation in the area where Godzilla supposedly blasted his atomic breath, as the Godzilla species cannot survive without absorbing and exhaling radiation.
After the Xiliens have been exposed, the EDF launched an attack to destroy the UFO. They have been able to dent the hull of the ship, but after their energy shields where deployed, they couldn't do anything. It was only until Rodan came to the rescue. Rodan charged up his Asteroid Dash and rammed the UFO head-on. This way able to leak out the incapacitating gas that Godzilla breathing in and woke him up.
Godzilla freed himself from his binds with his Atomic breath. After the Xilien master said to drop Godzilla, Rodan caught him and safely landed him onto the ground. Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra and Anguirus are now together again, with Godzilla letting one last roar of the day.
A flashback to 1990 shows that Godzilla was being chased by MUTO Prime. He used small crevices of a tunnel system to outrun the larger Titan. However, he was cornered in a wall, with his atomic breath not fazing MUTO Prime. And then, Dagon came to save him. Dagon and Prime clashed, with Godzilla trying to aid him, with his partner, Rozan, by his side too. Just then, the military launched the Oxygen Destroyer. While Dagon managed to escape, MUTO Prime was weakened by the weapon, and passed out after digging a hole to nearby cave. And so, Dagon went up to Godzilla and gave him a little pat on the head.
In present day, Godzilla woke up from his slumber and he, Mothra and Anguirus worked a plan together to lure out the impostor. And so, Godzilla fought it at sea, overpowering it and withstanding the hits it unleashed. It finally pulverized the fake skin away with a nuclear pulse. This revealed the metallic Mechagodzilla, and Godzilla snarled at it, as it initiated in a battle to the death.
Mechagodzilla fully unravels its arsenal at Godzilla, and starts by cutting his ankle using its tail cutter. However, Godzilla's near-instantaneous regeneration saves his from being limped. Mechagodzilla uses its jet boosters to do a dive bomb at Godzilla, with Mechagodzilla missing, and when coming back for a second course, Mechagodzilla gets knocked aside by Godzilla's tail swing. Godzilla fires his atomic ray, aiming for Mechagodzilla's head. An EMP unleashed by the robot disables Godzilla's breath, angering him greatly. Godzilla repeatedly stomps Mechagodzilla, who in response blasts the monster with Crimson Barrage and Heat Ray. Mechagodzilla extends his arm blades and charges at Godzilla, who dodges his thrusts and knocks him down.
Mechagodzilla gets back up, dodging Godzilla's stomp, fires his Plasma Blast at the monster, slashing him with his tail blade and piercing his chest with blades. Unleashing his Crimson Barrage, Mechagodzilla hides in red smoke, preparing for a quick sudden burst. He punches Godzilla in his face, knocking him to the ground. Godzilla gets his hand pierced by robotic Titan as he gets up. He grabs Mechagodzilla's hand and throws him across. Mechagodzilla launched his missiles at Godzilla, piercing his skin and blasting off chunks of his flesh, making him roar in pain. After impaling Godzilla's chest with blades and electrocuting him, Mechagodzilla kicks the Titan and uses his Crimson Barrage. As Godzilla heals his wounds, he noticed Mechagodzilla in the sky dive bombing at him. Godzilla dodges right before the impact, and their fight continues. At one point Mechagodzilla managed to coil his tail around Godzilla's leg and carry him to the sky, delivering several blows midair.During his fall, Godzilla charged up Atomic Breath and aimed it at the ground, slowing himself down and landing safely. Mechagodzilla charged his Crimson Buster and fired it at Godzilla. The monster dodged the blast. Devastating explosion occurs, blasting a large portion of Odo Island and surrounding Godzilla with dense red smoke.
Mechagodzilla hides behind smoke and ambushes Godzilla, and after a beatdown manages to paralyze him by piercing his brain with an arm blade. Robotic Titan is about to damage Godzilla's spinal cord but gets distracted by Mothra and chases her in skies. Godzilla regenerates and blasts away Mechagodzilla before he could finish off Mothra. Enraged, he charges at Mecha and starts tearing off his body pieces, disarming him. Godzilla finishes robotic impostor with his Supercharged breath, blasting him into small pieces. He catches the head in his hands, and then roars triumphally.
Godzilla possesses his trademark Atomic Breath, also called Nuclear Breath or Atomic Ray. A blue glow runs up his dorsal plates, and he unleashes the attack. The Atomic Breath has a long range and is extremely hot, reaching temperature of 600,000 degrees Kelvin. This attack is capable of causing large explosions and severely wounding some monsters with lower categories. It also possesses pinpoint accuracy, demonstrated when Godzilla easily blasts Mechagodzilla out of the sky with it. Godzilla first seen using it when breaking himself free of his mouth binds and destroying an Xilien turret. A unique trait for this Godzilla is that he can also exhale atomic energy through his nostrils.
A stronger variation of Godzilla's standard atomic breath that was first shown in episode 2 was his Supercharged Atomic Breath, also called Hypercharged Atomic Breath or Blue Spiral Heat Ray. Instead of charging up several times and performing his regular attacks, Godzilla can use all of his energy in one incredibly powerful blast, which also means that he can't use this ability much at once, as he'll simply exhaust himself. Godzilla can use this ability more when he absorbs large amounts of radiation. This supercharged beam of energy reaches a temperature of 12,000,000 degrees Celsius and was shown to be powerful enough to destroy Mechagodzilla in a single blast.
