Subject: See you at the CARnival!
Date: April 22, 2026 at 11:56:48 AM CDT

Happy Earth Day, everyone! Hope you're just as excited as we are for the Electric CARnival, scheduled for this Friday, April 24. We have nearly 800 people registered, so it's going to be an electric event, for sure! If you're receiving this email, we plan to see you before the event begins, which is at 4pm. Your individual arrival times, as well as all additional information, can be found in the Run of Show attached.  Here are some other reminders/tips:

  • We'll have snacks and refreshments for all volunteers.
  • Please bring your own table and chairs, if you need them and if you are able to. If you've reached out to us and said you need tables/chairs, we've allotted some for you. If you haven't, please let us know.
  • If you are sticking around for the movies, feel free to grab a parking spot inside the venue. If you're not, please plan to park outside the venue. Cars will only be permitted inside the venue if they are parking for the movies, part of the EV showcase, or temporarily need to drop off materials.
  • Remember sunscreen!
  • There is no required dress-code, but if you have something to represent your organization, or has the vibes of "Earth Day" or "CARnival," that'd be awesome.

In addition to the Run of Show, please review the event map we've put together. Feel free to email, call or text me if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, from now until the event!

Best regards, Drew

    Event Description

What do electric vehicles and Back to the Future have in common? Come to the Electric CARnival and see how the cars of the future are already here! Join Metropolitan Energy Center and Charge Across Town on Friday, April 24 at Boulevard Drive-In for a free, family- friendly celebration of all things electric vehicles!

From 48 p.m., explore interactive booths, hands-on activities and fun games that bust common EV myths. Snap a photo with the iconic DeLorean from Back the Future and enter to win gift cards from local businesses. Ready to hit 88 miles per hour? Whether you’re EV-curious or already plugged in, check out the latest electric vehicles, talk with EV owners and experts, and see how driving electric can fit your lifestyle.

After sunset, stick around for a free double feature under the stars: Back to the Future and Back to the Future Part II. Boulevard Drive-In’s concession stand will be open with snacks and dinner available for purchase.

Bring your family, friends and curiosity. Come early for the CARnival, stay for the movies, and enjoy an evening of innovation, fun and nostalgia for the past and future.

The first 150-200 attendees who complete the CARnival and the BINGO card associated will have the option to receive a $10 gift card to a local grocery store, coffee shop, or ice cream parlor; or, Starbucks gift cards or energy efficiency kits.
