Earth Day (April) and Drive Electric (fall)

Does the club want to do any Earth Day event in April and/or a Drive Electric event this year?  If so this is the time for planning.

Earth Day - I am unaware of any April event.  

National Drive Electric Month - Sept 12 to Oct 12

The closest I am aware of is a northeast Johnson County Go Green Environmental Fair in Mission KS October 18

Dear Jim,

This is always an exciting time leading into Drive Electric Earth Month (DEEM) because events across the country are beginning to register, and the anticipation of the campaign's impact is starting to be palpable!

You attended a DEEM event last year and indicated you own/lease an EV, so we'd like to personally invite you to volunteer at an event near you this year. There are many ways to get involved - volunteer to show your EV at an event, volunteer to educate event attendees through conversations about your experience as an EV owner, and/or volunteer to help the event run (by assisting an event organizer to plan an event and/or to help set up/tear down on the day of the event).  Your support is essential in ensuring the success of these local events!

The first step to get involved is to visit the DEEM website and enter your zip code to search for events in your area. 

If you don't see any EV-focused events happening in your community (oh no!), maybe it's time to consider volunteering as an event organizer (yay!).
