Hey all

Took some time today to check out the various brew houses in downtown Shawnee today.  Only one has a kitchen and it happens to be serving brunch on Sundays from 10am until 2pm.  They are more than open to hosting our club meeting December 8 at 1pm, they have internet, and we can continue our tradition of having a zoom drop in.  The really good news is that there is a public charging station just across the street at the Shawnee City Hall.

Lets do our Holiday gathering:

December 8, 1-3pm or so
District Poor House and Kitchen
11101 Johnson Drive
(south west corner of Johnson Drive and Neiman, plenty of parking in the lot south/behind the building with entrance on Neiman)

You can check out their establishment on the link above.  I do note that they have a different Sunday menu and can forward pix if you would like.

Finally, can we get a head count so that we know how many seats to squat in on?  I will be bringing two.

Jim

Hey Jim (and everybody):

First of all, cool - meetings at breweries are always a good idea.

Second, I meant to get to this Friday and just ran out of time.  MEC has new funding opportunity focusing on EVs and charging systems, and it's a funding opportunity aimed at smaller organizations, businesses community groups and other potential applicants. Total federal funding is about $160,000, with a required 65% cost-match from prospective participants. There's a webinar coming up on December 4th to walk all interested parties through our grant process, with the application deadline on December 15th.

Anyway, this is kind of a long-shot, but I thought that MAEAA members would find this interesting and that they might know of individuals and organizations interested in taking us up on this  - schools, small businesses or municipalities looking at clean transportation.

The link here RFA: Funding Support for Electric Vehicles and Charging should provide all the key information, but don't hesitate to let me know if other questions come up.

With thanks for your time,

David Albrecht
