Well guys...we've had some decent weather now and I'm guessing most of
you have had your bikes out at least a few times already.

I think it would be great to get together and just reconnect a bit.
I'm hoping we can plan at least a few decent rides this summer...I was
in Iraq all last year, so I'm REALLY itchin' to do some serious
riding. ;)

I'd like to hear any suggestions you might have for getting together
(what days/nights are good/bad). I'd also be interested in piggy
backing on any other events you might know about in the southern WI
area. (I have heard about, on occasion, certain restaurants, dealers,
etc that will have riders from all different genres meet up weekly,
bi-weekly, etc to hang out, go out on some local rides, etc) If
anyone knows of anything, let me know. Also, if the Borderline
Cruisers group is still alive and kicking, maybe we can hook up with
them as well.

Also, if you have any ideas for what you'd like to see on the website,
let me know (http://madvroc.org). Right now, there is just a link to
the mailing list for people to sign up. . .

Anybody go to bike night at Quaker Steak? It started again last Wednesday. I live nearby but didn't go since my new bike, Vulcan 900 Classic, was in the shop for a recall and oil change. No problem on the recall but they did find that my front wheel axle nut had fallen off. Thank God they found that before my wheel left me at 70 mph. "You picked a fine time to leave me Loose-Wheel." Which Quaker Steak? (or is there only one in the Madison area?) I
know about the one in Middleton.

That's the one...in Middleton. Every Wednesday night. Several hundred bikes (mostly HD's) and usually live music. A lot of posers and rebels without a clue but all looking the same. Ebes

The Bike Nite at the Lube actually started a month early this year,
beginning on Apr. 2 I was there last wednesday, and although pretty darn
windy, the weather was kinda nice. They haven't received their outdoor
permit yet for bands and adult beverages. This means that the band plays
inside and no beverages off the perimeter curb. They don't anticipate having
their permit till maybe May. 7 I left about 630p and maybe 150 bikes
there. The radio Thu said 500 and that Ron Dayne was there. He and the bikes
weren't there until after 630p that's for sure. I'm gonna wait till mid May
to attend again as their'll be many more bikes in attendance at that time.
Hope to see you guys there in the future.. Yo Ebes, I think their's more
than one loose nut on that bike :)

I have decided to sell one of my bikes. It's a 2003 1600 Vulcan
Classic/Silver. Does anyone know of a cycle shop that takes bikes on
consignment? Or any good internet sites to sell bikes on? Thanks for your
help.
Phil

Phil, I don't know if Engelhart sells on consignment or not but it would be worth the call to find out. Good luck. That's a great bike. Steve "Ebes"

they will do it

I'd post it on Craig's list (http://madison.craigslist.org). My 1600
Classic is an '03 and I absolutely love it.

Once you sell this bike, what is that going to leave you with?

I have another 1600 classic in Red. This is my wife's bike.
