HELP A LOCAL CYCLE PARTS MANUFACTURER DESIGN A DRIVER BACKREST FOR
YOUR DRIFTER:

Grasshopper Limited, a manufacturer of excellent driver backrests in
Beloit, is looking to develop a model that will fit the Drifter 800
and 1500 with the solo OEM seat. (As you know, there isn't much out
there for Drifters with a backrest, except Corbins and they're
expensive and pretty hard on an old biker's butt!) I've put several
of Grasshopper's driver backrests on various bikes and they are
incredible quality and design for under $100.

Lonnie, the owner-designer, would like to have some local Drifter
owners ride over to his shop so he can take some measurements and
design a mounting bracket for the 800 and 1500. He will certainly
make it worth your trouble and the rest of us Drifter guys with sore
backs will be forever grateful!

If you have a Drifter or know someone in the area who does, please
give Lonnie a call at 608-346-1337.

Thanks---doug aka: "doc m"

I've got one of Lonnie's backrests on my '09 Nomad... a real quality piece of work. He even remade it once because it wasn't quite right for me.

Unfortunately, the only person I know that owns a Drifter lives in Colorado. I'll keep my eyes open, though, and if I see one I'll stop the guy/gal and talk them into paying Lonnie a visit.
