Computational Approaches to Analyzing Microarray Data:
This intensive computer lab based course includes modules on
experimental design, data management, statistics, data mining
techniques, diagnostics, arrays as a phenotype, using prior knowledge to
constrain analyses and modeling techniques. It is geared for
people in molecular biology lab groups and mathematical or computation
scientists entering the field of bioinformatics. Instructors include
researchers, bioinformaticians, statisticians and computer scientists.
Dates: July 24-28, 2013 Fees: $950 for faculty and industry employees; $650 for graduate
students and postdoctoral researchers; $350 special rate for UW-Madison
students and postdoctoral researchers.
