Impressive specs, and the Zoe feature sounds pretty awesome.

Aside from still having a tiny short body and tiny lens and tiny sensor.

If "photographer" means "person who wants to take snapshots" they are
right, it will kill in the Facebook photos and point-and-shoot world,
most likely.

If by "photographer" you mean "artist who wants to work with a limited
set of tools to inspire creativity" they also probably right (like
people who shoot only using an iPhone, etc).

If by "photographer" you mean someone who wants to use all tools
available to create the highest-quality image possible, with the maximum
flexibility, configured intentionally (DoF, shutter, aperture, etc), no.

How about this, it is better than any camera on any phone currently available, outside of the nokia one that no one uses.

Also, you can change the shutterspeed in apps, I am not sure about aperture.  If software controls it I bet there is an app that can change it.

I don't know about the HTC one, but most smart phone cameras are fixed aperture, including the iphones.

They kinda have to, aperture needs to be mechanical, as far as I know, and that's hard to fit in there, along with having moving parts being bad in a phone.

Although, I suppose, you could use some kind of LCD, maybe?
