Madness Central Newsletter: Issue 1:
3rd October – 9th October 2009.

Welcome to the first issue of the Madness Central weekly newsletter.

To begin, many thanks to all who have e-mailed their support and subscribed to-date. The purpose of this newsletter is not only to keep you informed on what’s happening on the Madness Central website, but simultaneously present all the news from the World of Madness in general.

In the coming weeks we’re planning to extend the newsletter and include more regular features, competitions and fan contributions. Any suggestions, news items and comments can be e-mailed to the Madness Central management team at:

In a week which saw BBC4 Friday night programming taken over by Madness - this including the much awaited for premiere of The Liberty of Norton Folgate film - much has been happening on the news front. A full listing of news items can be found later in this posting.

News also surfaced that the One Step Beyond two disc re-issue album is now available for pre-order. The release is available in several multi-buy formats including the CD itself and varying t-shirt bundles.

It seems the band plan to carry on to the end of 2009 in the style they’ve gone through the rest of it…and then on into 2010…..with a number of dates being announced or coming to light in recent times.

Madness To Matinee In Newcastle. Following on from yesterday’s blog about a matinee performance at Southend Cliffs Pavillion on Saturday 5th December - it’s been announced on the official site that there will also be a matinee performance at Newcastle O2 Academy on Saturday 12th December.

Work is continuing on several main aspects of the Madness Central site, including the forum chat room and the Interactive section(s). The latter will include a dynamic polling system and a Madness related flash games section. We're expecting these to be completed within the next month.
