Hello,

I am poking around at the DBN Downbeat tracker, and so far I just tested it on a file and listened to the song they seem to line up correctly. Is there an existing tool or method that you all use to do this?

If not, I was gonna just a little script that plays the input wav and visualizes where beat/downbeats are. If you'd like I can contribute whatever I make back to the project.

Thanks,
-Peter

Depends on what you're looking for:

Sonic visusaliser is a great open source tool to visualise stuff.
- I have some code laying around which can sonify the beat positions and create a mixed audio file or output the beats as clicks.

Enhanced visualisations are always a great addition to the project!

Thanks for the fast response. I actually just whipped this together: https://github.com/PeterMitrano/madmom/blob/dev/bin/beat_visualizer.py
Usage is just (1) run the DBNDownBeatTracker, (2) give this file the same input and the output file
It's quite hacky, but if you'd like I can clean it up and make a pull request.
