    Have a Slice of Raspberry Pi

    At this Weekend's Raspberry Jam

    Have a slice of Pi with that Jam— this weekend, Saturday, April 25. A fun-filled, educational, tour de force, Raspberry Jam is a Raspberry Pi showcase event for middle school youth through adults. It's a small computer, but provides opportunities for big fun and achievement. Bring the kids, learn and play together. This Jam will include workshops, demonstrations and raspberry jam cookies. Located: Goodman Community Center, 149 Waubesa Street, in the Lussier Loft.

    Learn about Raspberry Pi at workshops with the Girls Inc. program.
     
    See cool stuff that others are doing with the Raspberry Pi.
     
    Come and share what you have done with the Raspberry Pi.
    Workshops Include:
    • Minecraft: Up your Minecraft skills using simple programs to speed your constructions. 
    • Music: compose and play music using the Sonic Pi program music. 
    • Robots: control a robot using Scratch programming.

    The Raspberry Pi is a low cost, credit-card sized computer that plugs into a computer monitor or TV, and uses a standard keyboard and mouse. It is a capable little device that enables people of all ages to explore computing, and to learn how to program in languages like Scratch and Python.
